Last week Thursday Better Networking hosted two Let’s Talk Biz chats hosted by our members.  The objective of this chat is to help answer questions for people who have questions on certain topics and at the same time  connects people in the most wonderful ways.

Simon Raybould of Curved Vision hosted a chat about Presentations and the presenting of presentations.  My general knowledge knows that there are certain key elements to giving a good presentation but I have to say that I did learn some excellent and very handy tips in this chat.  What to do about nerves, breathing and all sorts of useful tools.

Chris Lodge of Kasler Solicitors in Kent hosted a Let’s Talk Biz community chat about Road Accidents.   I don’t know much about road accident law in the UK and to be honest I did not know that one could have a road accident solicitor to fight your case.  I suppose that’s because I have been fortunate not to be in that situation.  Now I am definitely more informed about road accidents and that road accident solicitors are available to help you.  The chat also provided some interesting entertainment which had me rolling with laughter.

Better Networking’s Previous Chats

Irina Ponomareva of Viscomp who is a web desinger and knows her stuff on SEO.  Interesting questions and useful answers, especially for business owners who are needing websites.  I recently read a blog written by Nikki Pilkington “Google no longer uses title tags” and other blatant lies from SEOs and it annoys me when I see how people get messed about with inaccurate information.  This article confirmed just how useful Irina’s chat was.  I am no SEO expert and will never be but even I know the basics.  The best advice before choosing a web designer or SEO expert,  check up on Google they give you the information needed for SEO, this way if someone says, “Google no longer uses title tags, etc.” you know to go somewhere else.

The VAT man with a sense of humour, Robert Killington of Vatark hosted the very first Let’s Talk Biz online chat.  All about VAT.  I don’t need to worry about VAT just yet but did learn when I do need to worry about VAT and when that time comes I know exactly who I am going to turn to.  Read more about the VAT chat

The next Let’s Talk Biz chat will be hosted by Robert Zarywacz of Zarywacz, I don’t have the details for the chat yet but I am sure it will be about copywriting some how.  Date: 6th August.
